Wheaton Home Newborn Lifestyle
This July, I photographed the cutest bundle of joy. Meet Matt and Nicole’s new blessing, Leo! At one month old, it was the perfect time for some newborn photos! I was so happy when Matt and Nicole contacted me with the hope of having a newborn session in their home!
Matt and I are coworkers. Nicole also works for the same company, but in a different department. It was so much fun to interact with them outside of the office, and meet little Leo, whom the whole department has been praying for!
In addition to working full-time, Nicole is a landscape artist and sells her paintings online. She even does commission work, and she actually painted the mural in the nursery! You can see a tiny piece of it in this photo.
Nicole had a tough birth experience and she needed a longer time to recover as a result, but she’s getting so much better by the grace of God, despite the challenges!
Taking these photos were such a milestone for Nicole, proof of Leo’s incredible journey into the world. She put so much thought into the details for our shoot, and was thrilled to participate in every step of the journey!
Their cat, Zola, lurked in the doorways, curious about what we were doing. He didn’t want to be a part of the shoot at all, even though we tried to get at least one with him!
Nicole had a lot of great ideas for the shoot, and her creativity was contagious! My favorite photos of the session were the ones we took outdoors, which were entirely her vision!
She also curated all of the different blankets and props, which were all Pinterest-worthy with dreamy, neutral colors and varying textures. Her aesthetics are worthy of a chef’s kiss!
If you want to have a session like this one, I definitely recommend that you prepare several different outfits and blankets in advance. We didn’t have a code brown situation, so there was no need for the extra clothes or blankets, but we were prepared just in case!
Overall, this newborn session went above and beyond! It was so nice to finally meet Leo. Nicole and Matt, you are such a beautiful couple, and it’s so exciting to see you take a step into this next stage of life! You all are in my prayers. God bless you!
