Downtown Naperville Riverwalk High School Senior Portraits

On a busy Saturday afternoon in Downtown Naperville, I met with recent high school graduate Hannah to take her senior photos!

Hannah just moved to the Chicago area last year from South Carolina. While here, she went to school online and finished a semester early!

Since she really enjoys Criminal Minds, it doesn’t come as a surprise that she’ll be majoring in forensics when she goes to college! Hannah’s a real bookworm, and we bonded over the TV show New Girl.

Downtown Naperville was pretty busy when we were there, but we captured amazing shots with a little patience and some strategic angles.

We also found several nooks and alleyways that were away from the crowds. Since we were so creative with the locations, we even discovered a couple of new places, too! This one had several gorgeous lamp posts, and the photos we took here ended being my favorite shots of the session!

It was kind of chilly that day, but luckily, Hannah’s parents were there to support her. Hannah’s dad, Eli, let her use his coat while we walked between locations so she didn’t look cold in the photos.

Her mom, Angela, was great at finding opportunities for meaningful images like this one of Hannah in her dad’s jacket. These small, personal details make the photos so much more meaningful!

Hannah was perfect throughout the shoot! As a former dancer, she had no problems posing, and she made everything look so elegant. With a beaming smile, she exudes joy in every photo.
